NDIS 1:1 support workers in Wollongong & the Illawarra
A regular support worker who’s there just for you, for outings, activities, appointments and help at home.
One-on-one (1:1) support means a support worker who is with you, and only you, for the whole shift. It’s the most flexible way to use your NDIS funding. One week it might be a trip to the beach and lunch with a friend, the next it’s getting to an appointment, doing the shopping or a hand getting ready in the morning.
We match you with local support workers who suit your interests and personality, and we keep the same faces wherever we can, so you’re supported by people who know you and how you like things done.

How we support you
We start with a chat about you: what you enjoy, what you’d like to do more of, and what a good week looks like. Then we match you with a support worker and set up regular times that suit you, whether that’s a few hours a week or support most days.
Your worker follows your lead. If something isn’t working, or you’d like a different worker, tell us and we’ll change it.
Why choose Access 2 Goals
Our team started out supporting a family member with disability, so we know how much good support matters. We’re a registered NDIS provider, we’re local to the Illawarra, and we respond to every enquiry within 1 business day.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between 1:1 and group support?
With 1:1 support your worker is with you only, and every shift is planned around you. Group support is shared with other participants and claimed at group rates. Many people use a mix of both. See our group activities.
Can I choose my support worker?
Yes. Tell us what matters to you, such as shared interests, personality, or a female or male worker, and we’ll do our best to match it. If it’s not the right fit, we’ll change it.
How many hours of support can I have?
It depends on your plan and what you need. Some people have a few hours a week, others have support most days.
Can my support worker drive me?
Yes. Your worker can drive you to and from outings, activities and appointments, including in our wheelchair-accessible Kia Carnival. Travel costs are explained in your service agreement.
Do you provide 1:1 support in Shellharbour and Kiama?
Yes. We provide 1:1 support across Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and parts of the South Coast. Shellharbour · Kiama.
